What is the Priapus Shot®?
How is the P-Shot® performed?
First, the penis is numbed with lidocaine cream. A small amount of blood is then drawn from the arm, like when a blood test is performed. The blood is transferred to a centrifuge, where the PRP is made. Once the PRP is drawn into a syringe, calcium chloride is mixed with the PRP solution and tricks the platelets into thinking that the body has been injured. The platelets then release growth factors into the liquid, which is then injected into the penis using a very tiny needle. A total of five injections are made along the penis in a procedure that takes less than half an hour and that is performed in a private in-office environment.
What are the benefits of PRP?
The P-Shot® uses PRP to stimulate the growth of new cells in the penis. The platelets naturally generate tissue and increase sensitivity to stimulation. Since your own cells are being used, not a foreign material, there should be no side effects. Your body’s natural reaction to the treated cells is to repair the tissues. Are there any risks or side effects?
Because we are using your own cells, there are virtually no risks, side effects, or allergic reactions. After the procedure, you may experience slight bruising. How many treatments are recommended for maximum results?
We recommend a series of 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, for maximum results.
Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?
When scheduling your appointment, please make sure you have purchased your own pump. Using the pump immediately after your treatment is crucial in stimulating blood flow and circulation, providing you with optimal results. Additional instructions on pumps will be provided to you during your consultation.
