What happens during a Gynecology visit?

During a gynecology visit, your provider checks your weight and blood pressure. She collects information about your medical history and will ask if you have noticed any new symptoms since your last visit. Next, your provider performs a physical exam, which may include a breast exam or pelvic screen for common gynecological problems. Depending on your age and personal history, she may also perform a Pap smear. Pap smears help detect cervical cancer in its early stages.
