Advanced Biomarker and Wellness Testing
Nutrient Testing (Micronutrient Status Assessment)
Dr. Rogers Centers believes the most expensive supplements are the ones your body doesn’t need. Therefore, nutrient testing can help guide Dr. Rogers Centers providers for both IV and oral replacement needs.
Key benefits of nutrient testing include:
● Identifying subclinical deficiencies before they manifest as overt disease (e.g., iron deficiency before anemia develops, vitamin B12 depletion before neurological symptoms)
● Guiding individualized nutrition interventions — accurate interpretation by a skilled nutritional specialist results in more effective and targeted dietary or supplementation strategies
● Monitoring adequacy of nutrition support in patients on specialized diets, parenteral nutrition, or with chronic disease
Food Sensitivity IgG Testing
Dr. Rogers Centers recommends IgG food allergy testing to help map out a temporary, personalized elimination diet. After removing identified trigger foods for several weeks to months, the goal is to gradually reintroduce them one at a time while monitoring how the body responds.
Because IgG antibodies can sometimes reflect regular exposure and tolerance rather than true allergy, results are never used alone to diagnose a condition. Instead, they are interpreted alongside clinical symptoms, gut health, and the patient’s overall inflammatory picture.
DUTCH Hormone Testing
-
Advanced Hormone Testing for a More Complete Picture
DUTCH testing (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) is an advanced hormone assessment that evaluates hormone levels and hormone metabolism using dried urine samples collected throughout the day. Unlike standard single-point blood testing, DUTCH testing provides insight into daily hormone patterns, adrenal function, cortisol rhythm, and how the body processes hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA.
At Dr. Rogers Centers, DUTCH testing may be recommended for women experiencing symptoms that suggest hormonal imbalance or for women currently undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) who want a more comprehensive understanding of how their body is responding to treatment. -
Why DUTCH Testing Can Be Helpful
Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices use inflatable sleeves that cyclically inflate and deflate around the limbs, mimicking the natural muscle pump action of walking. This process increases venous blood flow, reduces blood stasis, decreases edema, and enhances the body’s natural circulatory and recovery mechanisms.
In wellness and athletic recovery settings, IPC devices are commonly used to support circulation, reduce exercise-induced swelling, and promote post-exercise recovery. -
Benefits for Women on Hormone Replacement Therapy
For women using bioidentical or traditional hormone replacement therapy, DUTCH testing can
provide additional information about how hormones are being metabolized and utilized within the body. This may help providers:
● Evaluate whether hormone levels are adequately balanced
● Assess estrogen metabolism pathways
● Monitor progesterone and testosterone balance
● Evaluate cortisol and adrenal stress patterns
● Help guide individualized hormone dosing strategies
● Identify patterns that may contribute to persistent symptoms despite treatment
Because every woman metabolizes hormones differently, DUTCH testing can support a more
personalized and data-driven approach to hormone optimization. -
A Whole-Body Approach to Hormonal Wellness
At Dr. Rogers Centers, hormone testing is interpreted alongside symptoms, lifestyle factors, nutrition, sleep, stress levels, and overall metabolic health. DUTCH testing is not intended to diagnose disease on its own, but rather to provide additional insight that may help guide individualized wellness and hormone support plans.
Our goal is to help women better understand their bodies and create a comprehensive approach
to feeling balanced, energized, and healthy at every stage of life.
Metabolic and Performance Testing
RMR and VO₂ Testing
Dr. Rogers Centers utilizes RMR and VO2 testing to provide valuable physiologic data to guide individualized wellness and performance plans.
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing
RMR testing via indirect calorimetry measures oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production at rest to determine baseline energy expenditure. Since resting metabolism accounts
for more than 50% of total daily energy expenditure, this testing allows for more accurate and personalized caloric recommendations compared to standard estimation equations.
VO₂ Max Testing
VO₂ max testing is considered the gold standard measure of cardiorespiratory fitness and exercise capacity. It helps identify aerobic thresholds, optimize training zones, and monitor fitness improvements over time. Higher cardiorespiratory fitness is strongly associated with improved long-term cardiovascular and overall health outcomes.
Together, these tests provide a data-driven foundation for personalized nutrition and exercise programming.
Advanced Recovery and Performance Therapies
-
Red Light Therapy (Photobiomodulation)
Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), uses wavelengths in the red (620–700 nm) and near-infrared (700–1440 nm) spectrum to stimulate cellular function. Photons are absorbed by mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase, increasing ATP production, modulating reactive oxygen species, and altering intracellular calcium levels — collectively promoting cellular repair and recovery.
Research supports PBM for several conditions, including peripheral neuropathy, wound healing, pain management, androgenetic alopecia, and musculoskeletal recovery. Additional evidence suggests potential benefits for knee osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia-related fatigue, cognitive function, and exercise recovery. PBM is generally well tolerated, with mild and temporary skin redness being the most commonly reported side effect. -
Compression Inflatable Sleeves (Intermittent Pneumatic Compression)
Hormone fluctuations can affect many aspects of health and quality of life. DUTCH testing helps providers move beyond guesswork by offering a more detailed and individualized view of
hormone function and metabolism.
Women may benefit from DUTCH testing if they experience symptoms such as:
● Fatigue or low energy
● Weight gain or difficulty losing weight
● Mood swings, anxiety, or irritability
● Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
● Poor sleep quality
● Low libido
● Hot flashes or night sweats
● Irregular menstrual cycles
● Hair thinning or skin changes
● Symptoms related to perimenopause or menopause -
StemWave / Acoustic Shockwave Therapy (Extracorporeal ShockwaveTherapy)
Acoustic shockwave therapy delivers high-energy sound waves transcutaneously into tissue to stimulate healing responses. The mechanism involves increasing expression of growth factors and cytokines, promoting neovascularization, stimulating tissue repair, and modulating pain signaling pathways.
Evidence supports its use for:
● Plantar fasciitis
● Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder
● Osteoarthritis-related pain and mobility limitations
● Tendinopathies and certain nonunion fractures
Treatment is generally well tolerated across multiple musculoskeletal conditions. -
IV Nutrient Therapy
IV nutrient therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream, allowing for rapid absorption when oral intake or gastrointestinal absorption may
be limited. At Dr. Rogers Centers, IV nutrient therapy is guided by clinical evaluation and, when appropriate, nutrient testing to help personalize replacement and wellness support.
IV therapy may be incorporated into an integrative care plan to support hydration, recovery, energy metabolism, immune support, and nutrient replenishment. Treatments are individualized and medically supervised, with consideration given to overall health status, medications, kidney function, and safety. -
Pixformance
Pixformance is an advanced digital functional training system that combines movement analysis, real-time feedback, and guided exercise programming. Using camera-based technology, the system analyzes movement patterns and provides corrective feedback during exercise sessions to help improve form, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall functional performance.
At Dr. Rogers Centers, Pixformance supports personalized rehabilitation and wellness programs by helping patients safely perform exercises with visual guidance and measurable progress
tracking. The system can be beneficial for individuals recovering from injury, improving athletic performance, enhancing mobility, or beginning a structured fitness program in a supportive and low-impact environment. -
Vibration Plate (Whole-Body Vibration Training)
Whole-body vibration (WBV) platforms transmit mechanical oscillations through the body while standing, activating reflexive muscle contractions through stimulation of proprioceptors.
Research suggests WBV may help improve:
● Lower body strength and muscular performance
● Balance, mobility, and gait stability
● Neuromuscular activation in older adults
● Bone mineral density preservation
● Flexibility when combined with stretching or heat therapy
WBV is considered a safe, low-impact option for individuals who may have difficulty performing traditional resistance training or high-impact exercise.
