With allergies being common in South Texas, we’re here to help you get to the bottom of your symptoms and find the right treatment for you!
How Are Allergies Diagnosed?
To properly diagnose allergies we must obtain a complete history and perform an allergy test. The allergy test takes about 30 minutes and consists of applying the regional environmental allergens known to cause allergy symptoms. The allergens are applied using plastic prick applicators to the back or forearms. Diagnostic allergy skin tests are safe and needle free. If a person is allergic to any of the allergens applied they will experience itching and a wheal is formed around the area.
