Dr. Melissa Kempf
Dr. Melissa Kempf is a family medical doctor who focuses on wellness and preventive medicine, as well as patient education.
After graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock Texas, she has become a well-rounded and respected Hill Country Village doctor. Dr. Kempf is board certified in family practics. She blends a traditional approach along with alternative therapy such as hormone manipulation, allergy treatment, weight loss and nutritional therapy for overall wellness.
She has extensive knowledge with food, skin and animal allergies, and does biopsies of skin lesions and moles. Dr. Kempf has integrative therapies for fatigue, menopause, thyroid disorders and slow metabolism including weight loss programs in addition to treating anxiety and depression.
Dr. David Tharakan
Dr. Tharakan is a family medical doctor at Dr. Rogers Centers. Dr. Tharakan earned a Bachelor of Science from Brandeis University and a Masters in Applied Physiology from The Chicago Medical School. He obtained his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School and completed his residency here in San Antonio at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSCSA). He has been in family practice for over 15 years.
Dr. Wendy Askew
Dr. Wendy Askew is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has the distinction of being one of only seven physicians in San Antonio who is also Board Certified in Anti-Aging, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine. She has practiced medicine for over sixteen years.
She is an expert in all areas of women’s health and is passionate about helping patients maintain their vitality through all stages of their lives.
Dr. Askew graduated from UTSA in 1993, Magna Cum Laude, with her B.S. in Biology, then went to medical school on a military scholarship and served in the USAF for seven years after graduating from residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in 2001. She returned to San Antonio, her home, in 2005 and has been in private practice in San Antonio since 2009.
She is married to Sam and has 2 daughters, Hannah and Sophie. They have 3 rescue pets, 2 canine and 1 feline. Dr. Askew is a terrible cook, but loves traveling, learning, yoga, reading, amusement parks, roller coasters, and spending time with her family and friends.
Charity Weberg, PA-C
Charity Weberg is a board-certified physician assistant and has been working in the field of bariatrics for the last 10 years, both on the surgical and medical side. She was invited by Dr. Rogers to join the clinic in 2007 and has an extensive background in exercise and respiratory therapy, both of which affect overweight and obese patients. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis in Exercise Science from Iowa State University. Prior to attending PA school at Midwestern University, she was a critical care respiratory therapist in the Dallas, Texas area. She has extensive patient care experience in ICU and Emergency Room environments, and was awarded the Baylor Hospital Garland Five Star Employee Award in 2001. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and Bexar Country Physician Assistant Society.
When away from the clinic, Charity enjoys spending time away with her family and walking her 2 dogs.
Kristen Morton, PA-C
Kristen Morton is a board certified physician assistant. Kristen chose a career in medicine to help improve the quality of life for patients. She finds working with weight loss patients to be the most rewarding. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Magna Cum Laude) from Schreiner University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She received an extensive amount of awards as a student, such as the Sam Junking Character Award and Outstanding Community Service Organization of the Year (as President of Colleges Against Cancer). Kristen understands that obesity is multifaceted and includes behavioral, psychiatric, genetic, and endocrine disorders. Prior to joining Dr. Rogers, she worked in psychiatry and treated patients with eating disorders, disordered eating habits, and other conditions. When not in the clinic, she spends much of her time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, and Relay for Life, just to name a few. She also enjoys salsa dancing, and visiting art exhibits.
Holley Kendrick, Counselor, LPC, LCDC, Certified Brain Health Coach
Holley Kendrick has spent her career helping people get through tough times. She has a strong belief that anyone can make changes to their lives with a little hard work, determination and support from a caring individual. Holley earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Florida State University and her Master’s in Substance Abuse Counseling and Education from NOVA Southeastern University. She became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and worked in a community mental health agency in Florida. While there, she worked with a diverse clientele with a variety of problems, including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and panic disorders, anger problems, chemical dependency and grief. Kristopher Reeves, DC
Kristopher Reeves became a Certified Airrosti Provider in 2014. He received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Lamar University. Dr. Reeves uses the Airrosti mission of putting patients first. He “gives people their lives back”. Airrosti Certified Providers work on accurately diagnosing the root cause of pain, then fully resolving that pain as quickly as possible. Laura has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso. She retired in 2009 from the NICU to solely focus on aesthetic Nursing.
Not only is Laura an expert injector in dermal fillers, neuro-toxins, and PDO threads, she is also a national trainer with Allergan, the maker of Botox, the Juvederm portfolio, and Kybella. She was also a National trainer to practitioners with Merz Aesthetics (the maker of Radiesse, Xeomin, and Asclera) one of the leading companies in the aesthetic industry covering South Central Texas, the Valley, Corpus and New Mexico.
Laura also trains practitioners at the Texas Institute of Medal Aesthetics from beginners to advanced injectors with derma fillers and neurotoxins. Her expertise and dedication to her clients is her number one priority.
Traci Lopez, RN, BSN
Traci was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2004, Traci moved to San Antonio, Texas where she resides today. Traci has three children-Jack, Isabella and Ava.
Traci attended Miami University in Ohio where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. Traci worked as a Registered Nurse in an Adult Neurosurgical ICU and a Pediatric ICU/CCU. She also worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals. She has been an Aesthetic Nurse for more than four years, with experience in aesthetics and injectables.
In 2009, Traci started the nonprofit organization Ava’s Wish, Inc. which focuses on working with pediatric patients and family members that have been affected by head trauma. In her spare time, Traci enjoys exercising, especially running and spending time with family and friends.

Candy Garcia, LMA, Lead Aesthetic Specialist
Candy began her career in 2009 working at Spectrum Health Club as an Aesthetic Specialist. She soon realized that medical aesthetics was her passion.
Candy specializes in educating clients on how to care for their skin and which products are best for their particular skin type. She completed her course studies at Milan Institute of Cosmetology in San Antonio. Candy provides treatments ranging from in-depth skin analysis, laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, vein removal, skin tightening, intense pulsed light, body contouring, chemical peels, CO2 laser resurfacing, and medical facials.
Candy is a mother of 3 daughters and loves spending time with her family watching sports, particularly Texas Longhorns and the Denver Broncos. Candy supports the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer, as her best friend has fought breast cancer for 20+ years.
Kimberly Marsalis, Certified Viora Technician
Kimberly is a certified Viora technician with over 3 years experience in face and body treatments. She has been with Dr. Rogers since 2014. “Helping people feel good about themselves makes me feel good!” Kim enjoys Viora because patient care is at the forefront, helping each individual gain self confidence in their appearance.
Tammy Robinson, Aesthetic Director/Spa Manager
Tammy is the Aesthetics Director/ Spa Manager at Signature Med Spa by Dr. Rogers.
She began her employment at Signature Med Spa in early 2016. Tammy has been an asset to the practice, as she brings over 6 years experience in the medical spa industry, and has introduced many services and skills to the team. Prior to Signature Med Spa, Tammy was the Aesthetics Director and Spa Manager for Skin Diva Medical Aesthetics.
Tammy also has a background in plastic surgery. Her experience in plastic surgery and aesthetics along with her passion for this field keep her driven to provide a one of kind experience for each client that walks in our doors. She enjoys working with the clients and staff and strives to educate clients on the Signature philosophy, the advanced techniques that are implemented, and the products that Signature Med Spa has to offer.
