1 pound lean ground beef, 90% lean or turkey
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 cup celery chopped
4 cups cabbage,greensliced
2.5 cups stewed tomatoes
1 Tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp coarsley ground pepper
- Saute meat, onion and celery in a large skillet until meat is browned. Drain off excess fat.
- Transfer meat to 5 qt. slow cooker. Add cabbage, tomatoes, flour, salt, sugar and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours, or on High for 4-5 hours.
