What Does the Screening Include?
- Screening Carotid Artery Ultrasound
- Screening Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound
- Left-sided Echocardiogram
- All interpreted by Board Certified Cardiologist
- Ankle-Brachial Index
- Interpreted by Dr. Rogers
What to Expect?
Once you arrive and check-in. You will be greeted by our on-site ultrasound technologist. He will perform all 4 studies in Dr. Rogers Centers ultrasound suite.
How long does the screening take?
The screening exam which includes all 4 studies takes approximately 30 minutes.
What happens after the testing?
Many patients choose to undertake the cardiovascular screening 30 minutes before their annual exam for same day convenience. The screening test will be informally interpreted at the annual exam with the cardiologist final interpretation discussed at a follow-up visit.
If you are just visiting Dr. Rogers Centers for cardiovascular screening then you may leave directly after the 30 minute screening evaluation is concluded. Once we receive the cardiology interpretation, the findings will be mailed to your address.
