Are you a woman experiencing any of these symptoms?
In the years leading up to menopause (peri-menopause) menstrual cycles that may have once been like clockwork start to become erratic. Bleeding may be heavier or lighter than usual- although we are not officially in menopause until we have had 12 consecutive months without a period. Erratic cycles are a sign of erratic ovulation leading to highs and lows in estrogen and progesterone, an effect many women describe as an emotional roller coaster.
And, don’t let anyone tell you that it’s all in your head. When the ovaries begin to sputter, hormone production sputters and so do we. Forgetfulness, foggy thinking, mental confusion, and mood swings are hallmark symptoms for many women, as are night sweats and hot flashes, tearfulness, insomnia, unwanted weight gain, thyroid problems, and declining interest in sex, no matter how much we love our partner. Of course not all women experience these symptoms. As individuals we each have our very own biochemistry, but it is common to experience some degree of discomfort during the menopausal years. The degree to which we experience discomfort is likely to be associated with the degree to which our hormones are out of balance.
If you have these symptoms, you may have a hormone or adrenal imbalance. Come see us for testing and intervention.
Overview of Bioidentical Hormones:
Bioidentical hormones by definition means identical in structure and function to the hormones our body produces.
The key to successful bioidentical hormone treatment is creating a balance amongst hormones while alleviating the signs and symptoms secondary to any one of them. Many times hormonal related symptoms are secondary to an overabundance (dominance) of one hormone which is then unbalanced with the deficiency of another. That’s why at Dr. Rogers Centers we listen to your signs and symptoms to diagnose using blood levels of hormones to determine the appropriate replacement doses.
The initial Bioidentical Hormone evaluation with Dr. Rogers’ Medical Group will focus on your current signs and symptoms, past medical and surgical history to assess the appropriate hormonal blood levels to be evaluated. The follow-up Bioidentical Hormone visit will typically occur 1-2 weeks after the initial visit, at which time hormonal blood levels will be reviewed in conjunction with symptoms. Then, Dr. Rogers Medical Group will prescribe the appropriate Bioidentical Hormones customized for you.*

“At first I was skeptical about bio-identical hormones therapy. But, rather than continue suffering from the weight gain due to menopause, sleepless nights, & decreased energy levels, I decided to seek help. Dr. Rogers started me on HRT and these last 3 months since starting my treatment have made a TREMENDOUS difference! I feel like I am in control again over the way I feel!”*
