Signature Medspa by Dr. Rogers utilizes PCA SKIN Peels as our Signature chemical peels.
The experts at PCA SKIN have devoted 25 years to the development of highly effective peels that safely treat all skin types. PCA SKIN peels are essential to overall skin health and provide added nutrients for faster, more dramatic results.
What is a chemical peel?
Professionally applied peel solutions exfoliate dead skin cells and help healthy skin cells rise to the surface. These treatments allow deeper layers of fresh and untouched skin to be revealed. The result of monthly treatments can even skin tone, clear acne, improve the appearance of aging skin and make dull complexions glow.
What should I expect from a chemical peel?
PCA SKIN peels typically cause little to no discomfort, minimally visible exfoliation, and your skin will be glowing and healthy-looking following treatment.
It is best to avoid sun exposure before and after your treatment. You will also need to avoid certain products or treatments that can irritate or cause adverse reactions, such as laser hair removal and exfoliants. Your aesthetician will provide you with pre and post care instructions during your consultation.
Which peel is right for me?
PCA SKIN’s wide range of peels offers benefits for all skin types – even the most sensitive. It is highly recommended that you schedule a complimentary skin analysis with our aesthetician using our Visia Skin Analysis system. After your consultation, we will be able to choose the formula best suited for your skin. We may even customize a peel solution to best suit your skin’s needs.
Some of our most popular Signature Peels are:
- PCA Jessner’s Peel (Options available to add on Hydroquinone or Hydroquinone + Resorcinol)
- PCA Peel
- Sensi PCA Peel
What is a Jessner’s Peel?
A Jessner’s Peel uses a special formulation formulated by Dr. Max Jessner. It contains resorcinol, salicylic acid, and lactic acid. This type of peel is great for hyperpigmentation, age spots, melasma, freckles, and other skin discolorations.
What is resorcinol?
Resorcinol is a common and effective ingredient in acne products and treatments.
What is salicylic acid?
Salicylic acid is probably the most widely known and used product to treat acne. It works by penetrating and detoxifying the pores of the skin.
What is lactic acid?
Lactic acid is the main ingredient in the Sensi Peel. It is a great introductory chemical peel, and a great choice of those with sensitive skin. It provides gentle exfoliation and a youthful glow. It is derived from milk, so there is a small chance of allergic reaction to those with lactose intolerance or sensitivities.
What is hydroquinone?
Hydroquinone is a skin lightening agent found in many skin care products. It can help improve the appearance of skin discolorations such as melasma and sun damage. Hydroquinone comes in a variety of concentrations strengths and is only available through pharmacies and physicians.
